Free Early Education for 3 to 4 year olds
From the term after your child's third birthday, your child is entitled to 15 hours a week free early years childcare and education, for 38 weeks per year. This is call the Free Early Years Education and it is paid for by the Government. Some families may even be eligible for 30 hours a week, please click here to check your entitlement.
Places are available in each of the school terms;
AUTUMN (September) SPRING (January) SUMMER (April)
To apply for a free Nursery School place please return a completed application form together with your child's original birth certificate. The first 15 hours a week are free although you can pay for more childcare hours, click here to view our session times and Wraparound price list.
Hillside Nursery School places are usually offered the half term before the child is due to start.
The Parental Agreement
Once a place at Nursery has been agreed you will be asked to sign a Parental Agreement. This document clearly shows the agreed hours that your child should be attending Hillside Nursery School. It captures information such as; 30 hours eligibility, EYPP, DAF, Notice Period and Transfer of Entitlement. If in the future your requirements change, you will asked to complete a new Parental Agreement that will reflect the new changes.
